This 1946 Chevrolet 1/2-Ton Pickup is a highly detailed, fully hand-built custom known as Klear Vision, created by Ohio builder Tim Gansulass, whose work has appeared at the Detroit Autorama and earned a Pirelli Great 8 selection for the Ridler Award. The truck was featured extensively in Hot Rod and MotorTrend, where its one-off construction process was documented. Those articles explain that nearly every component on the truck was shaped, fabricated, or modified by hand in Gansulasss 5,000-square-foot home shop, with no drawings or renderings used. The design lived entirely in his imagination until metal was formed to match his vision.

The project was the third of a trio of custom Chevy trucks Gansulass built, with this one planned specifically for its Detroit debut. The build reportedly began with only the 1946 cab and a handful of leftover parts. The body was transformed through a 4-inch chop, shaved driplines, a filled cowl vent, suicided doors, newly fabricated hinges and hardware, and extensive smoothing and reshaping that included constructing new panels by hand. The truck was then finished in Audi Daytona Gray Metallic with pearl and DuPont clear, complemented by DuPont Flame Red detailing. It rides on Dayton wire wheels mounted with Excelsior Stahl Sport radials and is supported by a custom chassis designed for an ultra-low stance.

Power comes from a blueprinted and dressed 383-cid small-block Chevrolet V8, assembled with a Scat 3.75-inch crank, Keith Black pistons, Rochester 2G triple-carb induction, and an Edelbrock intake. According to the builder profile, the combination produces roughly 435 horsepower. A TH350 automatic transmission with a Turbo Action shift kit and a matched CVC converter complete the drivetrain.

Inside, the truck features a custom Flame Red leather and ostrich-style interior, Corvette short-loop carpet, and a fully smoothed dash with refinished gauges, vents, and switchgear. According to the original magazine features, the interior, engine bay, bodywork, and stance were all executed as part of a single cohesive vision, created almost entirely by hand and finished with the help of a small group of craftsmen determined to get every detail right.

This is a documented, magazine-featured, hand-built showpiece with a non-conforming replacement VIN and reportedly over $200,000 invested in its construction.
